At one point of time you can use only one surname in against your name. If you want to use your surname for applying to the government job which you were using it earlier before your marriage then you have to renounce this surname which you are using after your marriage by the way of affidavit and then by declaring it in newspapers.

Hi you are free to use your name as long as it is yours and you have proof of it. After marriage it was your choice to change your surname. You can continue your old surname, the only requirement is you need to support your name with documents. With good wishes

Hi.

So, the general rule is that you use your maiden name after marriage. However, if you haven't changed your name/surname, or if you have changed your surname, but you haven't published it in the official gazette, then you can still use your maiden name after marriage.

Yes you can use your old surname to apply for job, rather you can use your old surname for all purposes. If you have changed your name by declaring so in an affidavit and got the same published in two newspapers then you have to follow change of name process all over again that is file an affidavit, publish in news papers and get it published in gazette. If you have not done so or just used your husband's surname then you may use your maiden surname which is effectively your actual name.

yes your old surname can be used for applying for government job but you have to swear an affidavit that you are the one and same person with your parental surname and matrimonial surname. Further you have been continuing with your parental surname for all practical purposes. you need to have account in old surname so that remittance can be done easily.
