you need to understand that the court has rightly said that its your moral duty to maintain your wife. it does not matter whether your wife is earning or not you are supposed to maintain her as per your standard of living. if she is earning more then you then yes she is not entitled for any maintenance, if not they as per your standard of living you will have to pay her the maintenance. Secondly if you think that the court has order more then your capacity then you can go against that order before the Hon'ble High COurt.

And where she is living and what is her work.

my dear friend , It is right that it is moral and legal duty to maintain your wife and give her maintenance as requirements, and other side your wife is not coming back to you despite proceeding under section 9 of the Hindu marriage Act. Is Any order passed in favour of you in section 9 or not ? if ,yes , then execute that as per law. Put your defence properly before the concerned court.
