Brother in law touched me several times what should I do legally?

27-Apr-2024 (In Criminal Law)
My brother in law walked behind me and brushed his hand across my butt, no words The first time on top of a swing set after our kids went down a slide, I acted like I didn't feel it, 2nd time in his kitchen after cleaning up from kids party, same exact thing while back turned goinginfridge and then while I was at sink. At that point I was freaking out then he followed me outside and threw his body into me as I entered back into the sliding door to house. Husband not present, family was.

That's a criminal offence. You can always file a complaint in writing and address it to the police station according to your jurisdiction for registration of FIR against the culprit. That's an outrageous act which is punishable under the IPC. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Well let me know your location to determine court jurisdiction and you can file a criminal case under section 354, 354 A and 509 of IPC. You won't be needing much proof to Kickstart the the criminal justice system and these allegations would be sufficient, investigation thereafter will be done by police

This is a serious offence. I Would advise you to immediately lodge a complaint with the police authorities through an Advocate. Do seek a Legal Consultation from an Advocate and follow his advise....Dont let this go

You should lodge an FIR. Go to the police station or call and narrate your case. The police must cooperate with you.
However, if the police fail to cooperate, consult a lawyer on how to proceed.
Moving an application before the appropriate authorities will certainly assist you.
