Legal heir certificates Issues

Two days back my father-in-law was expired. And i am widow without any kids. My father-n-law left wife, two more married son and one more married daughter. Now my questions is, Is my name include or not in legalheir certificate of my father-in-law's legalheir certificates as I am a widow and donot have any kids..

Yes you have the right of legal heir, no matter you have not Child according to Hindu succession Act widow have the right and she is also a member of her joint family.once you married a person after that you get all right which has coming from your father in Law's house.

Verify in Tahasil office of the area where father in law family resides. If Tahasil does not give ask in RTI.its not clear if u r still staying in father in law family or left to go in for another marriage .Then things may be different so far as legal heir is related.

You apply in your local tahsildar office along with detaiks of your late husband that you are a legal heir for late Father in law.Personally meet the R.I and inform the same to him.Legal heir certificate is not for property partition but for other financial purposes
