Can Society members object opposite gender staying overnight

19-Jul-2023 (In Civil Law)
I have recently started living in a rented flat. The rental agreement is in the name of me and my flatmate. Last night one of my female friends stayed over. The society chairman objected saying this can't be allowed. I asked them since there is no clause in my rental agreement that says anything about somebody staying overnight hence they can't forbid me from doing so. What is the legal way forward with this?

The can not forbid you from allowing female friend but you should not use flat for moral purpose let the name and address of the female friend be divlosed to society with her photo identity and purpose of stay over night ,the society will not object to it but we indians do lot of immoral things under the guise of friend and if the Society objects that is proper u r not owner ,but licensee, and hence rule of hotel lodging and boarding implies, you have to disclose about particulars and seek permission as no licensor permits licensee to allow 3 Rd party to avail the benefit of license granted
