I Have To Take Possesion Of Flat

hello ! me and my brother bought a flat in mumbai and my brother lives in South Africa and he cant come right now and i have to take possesion of that flat. builder havr asked for power of attorney and i donot have that and i asked my brother.. he said it cannot be made in south africa. So is there any solutions to get possession of my flat?

All the Indian embassy helps in affirming the power of attorney your brother who is based in SA can make POA and visit the embassy and get it registered there with a nominal fee. You can get that registered POA in india and show it to the builder which will be helpful.

well you can make a power of attorney and send it to your brother who can get it apolostated in Indian embassy and send it across to you. Alternative if he is unable to do so then, we may have to address a letter to builder explaining the situation and providing possesion based on an email Authorization issued by your brother to you with a copy marked to him.
