while purchasing the land of SC ,that party (seller) have to obtain permission from DM in this regard .And 143 is resedential land by which you can opt this. but in mutation there is no change,but you can get loan against it.

The sale of land to sc tribes without prior approval is prohibited by Section 42 (SC ST Act). This law was passed to protect the tribes of SC/ST. You can still acquire SC land if you obtain authorization from either the DM, or collector.
