Dear Thomas, you can change in your case from Christian(Parayan SC) to Christian Nadrar. As you mentioned your father TC is case is Chritian Nadar. You can approach Thasildar office to correct your community certificate initially, thereafter change one by one.

You cannot change your community/caste in the records now.
Conversion from one caste to another caste is not allowed.
If you do not want to avail any benefit available to the community under reservation, it is your choice and also it not a compulsion on you to mention your caste in any application.
The latest Madras high court ruling says that if a candidate do not want to disclose his caste or religion in any application, he cannot be compelled to do so by any authority.
There is a statutory rule in the government of Tamilnadu in this regard.
Thus you cannot change your community i the record but can decide about not mentioning your caste in any forms or applications and can also decide about not availing the reservation privileges available for the community.

If you have availed the benefits of the schedule caste for the past 22 years you can not claim non-Aquitaine of the fact that you have been misrepresented with your caste. The Caste Certificate which you have today will be treated as a fake document. Chances are there that It will be treated as your parents deliberately obtained the Christian-Parayan (SC) certificate from the concern authority. This may land you in big trouble once it come to light. If you have obtained any Degrees, scholarship or other benefits on the quota basis the same will be withdrawn. However meticulously you may surrender the caste certificate and can save your skin from any proceeding.
