Second wife - Muslim couple married under islamic shariah

I am married to a man who has already first wife and two kids, he already informed her that he is marrying me as informing is mandatory in islam and not to seek permission, we both are earning our livelihood and now she is wants to file a case on him and intends to put in imprisonment. He is a person of justice and is not asking her to leave or harm her in any situation. What can I do to save my husband out of this as my life will also be spoilt if she is filing a case what can i defend with?
If he is so matured that he is taking responsibilities of both of families then he has no problem. If she moves with Domestic Violence Act it is not so easy for her to prove cruelty as he is not so. Even there is no provision of arrest in any law today.
