Tenant not vacating property nor paying Electricity bill

06-Aug-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
The tenant was asked to vacate premises in Nov’19 post he failed to pay 2 month rent as part of registered rent agreement. Today it’s August 20 and has not paid single penny and making excuses of lockdown and neither has paid gas(IGL) and BSES bill which is now ₹80,000. Had served him legal notice in July But tenant is not vacating. With courts closed what are my options

Courts have started taking cases through Video Conferencing. E-Filing have also started.
You can now file suit for eviction and recovery of rent amount.
In the same you can file for temporary injunction too.

You can now file a case online with online video conferencing hearings. Your case is very strong. You will definitely get all your due rent and vacated premises once you file the case. You can even claim the interest and damages which can be best assessed after going through your rent agreement.
