Sir
You must have entered in an leave and license agreement with the tenant in which normally there is an clause that either of the parties can terminate the agreement by giving one or more month's period notice. U can inform him by email that u would like to discontinue the agreement for your specific reasons which will take effect after the notice period

Hi,
This can be done as per the terms & conditions of your agreement. You can cancel the agreement as mentioned in your agreement and if this has not been mentioned in your agreement, you can do so as per local tenancy law prevalent in your area.
