regarding payment of rent during lockdown period

I am a tenant in pg and gave 1 month notice to vacate pg on 21st march which ended on 20th april 2020. I moved to my hometown -jaipur on 21st march due to lockdown. But he is demanding rent for the month of may 2020 stating that due to lockdown he has to extend the move out date. I have given him the room keys already.what to do?
Hello you can send a legal notice through your advocate to call back his illegal demand and issue no dues certificate. moreover please clarify if you have paid him the notice period rent by cheque or cash
