Procedure to recover the pending bills amount from a tenant

14-Jun-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Hi, we used have an tenant who has left with 1hr notice. Since he was not maintaining the property in correct manner, we have not said anything at the time he was leaving. Later we have received water bill and electricity bill which was not paid and he said that the amount has been paid. Since my parents were aged, they couldn't verify if the payment was done or not and information was not passed to be due to trusting of that tenant. Now is it possible to recover the amount. If so, please advise the steps to proceed further.

Hi,
You have to see as to were he is residing and obtain the details then send him a legal notice for clearing the dues when he was in tenure of tenancy and if he is not paying then you can file suit for recovery of money against him. Call us through the website for further assistance.
