What to do if without reason i have been degraded at work place

I'm working in Japanese MNC and joined as AM three years back. In earlier company also my designation was AM. After around 3 yrs of service suddenly the company Japanese CEO announced that designations of Indian staff are inflated hence same will be down graded by one designation. He gave reference of Japanese staff and also said that it has been done on account of uniform global designations. Is there any remedy available under to challenge this action. Since on account of policies they are doing whatever they like.

Dear Cocern, please take note -
1. You can challende this downgrading policies on following grounds -
A. If your salaries has been curtailed according to your new downgraded position,
B. If your powers and authorities has been downgraded according to your new position which you should normally have by the virtue of year of experience you have now,
C. If your counterparts have been upgraded in similar situations,
D. If your juniors have been upgraded while you getting downgraded,
E. If you have been placed with such people who are junior to you by the virtue of experience or by the virtue of earlier company structure.
If any of these things have happened then you can challenge this demotion but if nothing has happened in among what has been listed then you can't challenge this demotion.
