How to claim pension from Central govt after working for 10 years

24-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I worked as a Jr.Stenographer in a Central Government Organization with a continuous service of 10 years 9 months (from 1971 to 1982). In the course of my service, my father expired and I had two marriageable sisters, two brothers, and a widowed mother. Being eldest son, I was holding the entire responsibility. In a meager income, I was unable to meet the expenses of the family. I left abroad for a better job in Gulf applying a month's leave. After six months my services were terminated. I could not sustain abroad too due to the health problem. After termination, the Central Govt Organization did not give the gratuity or any other benefits, except my PF. My question is whether is there any possibility to claim the pension from the Central Govt., having completed ten & a half years service, after so much of gap. Solicit your advice, please.

Whether or not your employer will have the ability to do this will depend on whether you are vested in the plan.
When you are “vested” in your pension plan, that means that you have the right to keep all of it, even if some of it is made up of employer contributions, and even if you lose your job. You can also be partially vested in the plan; for example, you might be 50% vested, in which case you will be able to keep 50% of the employer's contributions
