Franchisor is unresponsive to calls or emails

I did a part payment for franchise of a school chain in 2011 and I was abroad for few years and I am back to India now.I wanted to start the franchise, but the Franchisor is not answering my calls or responding to my email.Is there a way to get my paid money back.
First we need to see how much was the payment and all which year was it and all u can also let us know what was the payment done how much was the payment been done and what amount u can send a legal notice to him to return the money back or go to Court for the case and file a recovery suit and all
