I have been working for a company for 2 years .In April they offered me a renewal contract. In May they broke my contract with no notice while my 2 year contract was still valid. Since May they have not paid my salary or the three months pay for breaking my contract. They owe me over 9 lakhs. I want to know is this something I file in consumer court? Please respond.

hi.
employment comes under contract act. do jurisdiction for adjudication of dispute lies with civil court. issue notices to your employer seeking payment of salary and also notice pay in lieu of breaking the contract. an alternative to civil court can be filing under insolvency and bankruptcy code at Nclt. but filing at Nclt will warrant further study of your case
