Description of IPC Section 309
According to section 309 of Indian penal code, Whoever attempts to commit suicide and does any act towards the commission of such offence, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine, or with both.
IPC 309 in Simple Words
Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code states that anyone who attempts to commit suicide and takes any action towards it can be punished with simple imprisonment for up to one year, or a fine, or both.
