Transfer of land from father to son

Sir I have a doubt My father wants to gift a plot of land to me Option 1 I plan to take it in names of myself, my wife and my only daughter as a HUF Option 2 Only in my name as son To get registration done as Gift deed / gift settlement deed...at sub register office...at low charges and also to reduce taxes in future if land is sold What are pros and cons?

If the paposed property is the self acquired propertynof your father, he can gift you.

The question of HUF arise when the proeprty is of ancestral property.

The charges for gift registration is very much lower side.

Once the gift was done you become the absulute Owner of the said proeprty with all right. Then only you can go for sale.

u can register in ur name and in ur wife name Also for gift deed the registration will be less
while u go for other kind of registration the registration charges WIl be more
u can get registered on u or ur wife or ur daughter or else can be registered in all the names it wil be joint property than
