I want to get married by SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT. How can I proceed in the matter further?

Date of birth proof+affidavit+passport size photographs+three witnesses. You will submit the application and then SDM will issue notice that if anyone has got any objection to this marriage may step out. If no one comes within 30 days SDM will solemnise the marriage.

Hello, There is a procedure for getting married under special marriage act. But for getting further information, facts to be cleared i.e. from which community the person belongs. Kindly revert to get the information. Thanks.

You need to approach the SDM / Marriage Registrar of the area concerned. Wherein application form duly signed by both husband and wife needs to be filed. Documentary evidence of date of birth of parties (Matriculation Certificate / Passport / Birth Certificate) Minimum age of both parties is 21 years at the time of registration under the Special Marriage Act. Sir to get a marriage registered under the special marriage act it will take around 2 to 3 months time to complete all process including getting registration certificate and the time period also depends upon the availability of the documents with you
