Parents demanding maintenance even though they are financially stable

14-Aug-2023 (In Family Law)
My parents (senior citizen) are financially stable and have more than cash asset than me. They have enough money to live comfortably for rest of their lives. I'm living in a different city for job in a rented house and saving for my retirement and child's future. I've financially supported them for 10 years but I need to save for my future. Since they have enough cash I've decided to stop paying them monthly upkeep. They are threatening me for not supporting them. My mother is throwing fit and trying to commit suicide. What are my legal options to save myself if they try something drastic?

This is very sad! Please note that whatever your mother & father have whether immovable or movable property is yours and that too by default unless you are legally not deprived off by them! Please think strategically, as the merits is on their hands, so better to take care of them.
