In laws are not cooperating after husbands death in covid

20-Oct-2023 (In Family Law)
Hi Sir, I lost my husband in covid on 8 May 2021. He died intestate. Since then my in laws (mother in law & brother in law) are not at all cooperating with me and I had to leave Noida and started staying with my parents. My husband's bank accounts, his shared property along with brother in law are all lying unclosed and unsettled. Whenever I try to talk to my brother in law to settle up things, he just postpone it indefinitely and is harassing me mentally and emotionally by this behavior. He is not even responding now and has not shared with me the death certificate of my husband and my husband's house keys. Please help me what can I do in this case, and can I lodge a police complaint against him?

as you have told that your husband has died due to corona pandemic and you are living with your parents from Noida and there are some such in your husband Bank account they share the property which is there share to your in-law and if you are a nominee with your husband in the bank account then you will get the money there is no need to panic

Hello, U take an action against ur in-laws as file a case of harresment or cheating. Ur in-laws will give ur share at any rate. if u want other type step then give an application to SSP of ur city. U have all rights on ur husbands property or other things because u r the legal wife of ur husband.

dear client as per your query I can only suggest that if your dispute is settled (try for it) amicably with your family then no need to get into litigation if not then you can go for injunction suit for equal share and go for a stay order for that property in dispute for further assistance please contact us with your relevant documents for paid consultation.

First of all, you shall file a petition for property rights. Then, also stay on the proceedings.

It is important that you take ASAP decision.

For more, you may contact me to take timely step. If they create rights then you will loose the property
