Father beating child as he became jobless wants to take legal action

Respected Sir/Madam My name and I’m 27 years old and I used to work in a BPO. My parents (especially my father) humiliate me every now and then for being jobless for the last 3 months and it happened many times before as BPO is all about changing companies due to sales pressure and bad behaviours and many other stuffs . Now when I protest they start beating me even at this age and even say that if I hit them in return they can file a complaint against me to the police but I can’t do the same in return as there’re no such laws in India where children can complaint against parents. They’re humiliating me as well as taking advantage of my situation. I used to earn for them maybe not now due to situations but still such humiliation. I’ve no freedom of my own. Day by day it’s becoming a mental torture.
If anyone humilates or beats for being jobless is not a good thing to hear from your side, Your father should have been more proactive in encouraging you to get a new job.If this torture is going on then you should go and file a police complaint against your father by remembering 1 thing that law is same for everyone.

In my opinion at first try to settle the matter amicably consult with senior family member. Otherwise you live separate or you can go to the local police station and then file a complaint in this regard.

yes you can file domestic violence case against your parents, the moment you are getting beaten up go to a government hospital for check up and they will ascertain that you are been beaten and morereso thereafter file a general diary over speed post at your local police station.

You can lodge a general diary in local P.S abd state your pathetic condition, your emotional distress and physical abuse by a written complaint. See what happens. you can use a little bit of trick in such a case like, you can serve your parent, a legal notice which is formal in nature stating that all kinds of civil and criminal actions are to be taken against them if they dont stop hurting and humiliating you. Surely your parents will negotiate with you after that. Good luck.

I quite understand your problem. But look as you say you are 27 years old. You are not minor you are major one. You can choose your own way. If you do not agreed to live with your parents, then you can shift your shelter and started your work as you like and establish yourself before your parents and after that I think they will realise you and accept you. I do not know why they humiliate you. But parents are parents, you have no right to teach them, you are here for blessing of God and only for them. There are so many problem the people faces each and every time.
