I'm A4 in a false 498a case charged by my brother's wife. Allegations made by her is completely false. I have few questions. 1) Being A4 can I myself put a defamation case against her or my brother who is the A1 can only do it 2) Can I press defamation charges against the witnesses in this case who are her relatives? Because these relatives stood as witnesses and framed charges against us.
Any suggestion depends upon the nature of allegations and its publication. So also, it may be prudent to wait till the completion/conclusion of the proceedings. You need to initiate separate and fresh proceeding.
