Government Rule about Caste before & after marriage

31-Aug-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Dear Sir/Madam My current name is Mrs. Arti A. Rane & I belong from Open Caste. My Previous name was Ms. Mrinal S. (before marriage) & I belonged from OBC caste. My birth date is 19/07/1978. I have completed 38 years & 39 is running age. My question are 1) Since now I belong from Open Caste, still can I apply for Government Jobs with my Maiden name & under OBC Caste. 2) Do I get the all the benefits of OBC Caste which is my previous caste before marriage? If yes, for which government sectors I can apply for jobs and what would be the age criteria? Pls explain. Regards

When a woman born in a scheduled caste or scheduled tribe (SC/ST) marries a person belonging to a forward caste, her caste does not change.
An SC/ST person suffers from disadvantages and indignities just because he or she is born into a particular caste, which he or she acquires involuntarily on birth.
The suffering of such a person is not wiped out by marriage to a person born in a forward caste. The SC/ST label continues notwithstanding marriage.
an SC/ST woman can seek benefits under the PAA despite her marriage to a person of a forward caste. “It is true that on marriage a woman becomes an integral part of her marital home and is entitled to equal status as a member of her husband’s family. But that does not mean that she loses recognition as a person belonging to a backward community, which she acquired by birth
