I checked my case status...its showing purpose of hearing is batta...im the petitioner ...may i know the meaning of batta

Normally every case has both parties like petitioner and respondent . A person who files a case is called petitioner and petitioner have to give notice to the respondent regarding hearing of case , and that is called batta... Batta is the process of issuing notice to the respondent
