29-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello my wife has filed a marriage dissolution from the family court who ordered me to appear and pay the alimony money. Please advise my options and rights
Hi according to your query it is compulsory that the husband has to pay the alimony if you are looking for divorce or else you can contest the matter, but here you did not told what is the reason and other details you have not furnished so further exact suggestion please furnish the case details exactly then only we can clarify your doubts.
Hi
We need to see on what grounds your wife has filed for dissolution.
Payment of alimony money is dependent on circumstances of the case.
if the wife has separated on her own and does not want to live with you then there is no alimony.
Alimony is payable only if allegations are proved. If the wife is working , then also there is no need to pay maintenance.
