Registered but not married per Hindu rituals
07-Apr-2024 (In Divorce Law)
We got our marriage registration done after the engagement- there was no marriage only engagement, the registered date of marriage is the engagement date, and now I want to come out of marriage , I want to know what are my options - is divorce necessary or annulment will do? We both are Hindus
no since marriage is registered so you cannot go for an element only option is to file a divorce case and diverse maybe mutual or it may be one sided but once you final divorce their must be a total demand of aluminium from other party and the ground should be strong otherwise it will take to long time
As you have written in your problem that both of you parties have registered your marriage at the registrar's office by using the engagement date as the date of marriage and your marriage has not taken place and now both of you want this marriage to take placeEven though you have registered your marriage by lying, now you are legally husband and wife and now you will have to divorce your marriage by filing a divorce case in the court and you have no other option
