28-Oct-2026 (In Divorce Law)
It's been 4 months that my wife after 3-4 days of marriage continuously threatting me for filing false dowry case. She belongs to criminal family background . After marriage we come to know about it so I she said she will not follow any family rules and regulations she will do whatever her mother and sisters will say. Now I'm emotionally and mentality totally broken. I asked her for divorce but she denies that she will not leave and will not give me divorce either. What I could do Now

You can file a petition for divorce under the applicable provisions of matrimonial law, even if your wife is not willing to give mutual consent. Depending on the facts, you may seek divorce on grounds of cruelty. Preserve evidence of threats, messages, and other relevant communications. If a false dowry case is filed, consult a lawyer immediately and defend yourself through the proper legal process. Avoid arguments or threats, and document all incidents. The appropriate legal remedy will depend on your religion, marriage details, and available evidence.
