It is a weapon for them to blackmail and get money from husband. It seems there is something wrong in your marital life. watch and go forward. Try to settle the issue with the help of parents of both parties. If they want to file 498A, seek nearest advocate for help and correct guidance.

Hi
You should be aware subsequent to the Order of Supreme court in Rajesh sharma vs The State Of Uttar Pradesh , 498a Section itself has lost its sting and police cannot arrest any person under this draconian law without the approval of District legal services authority constituted for this purpose.
Also you are married for 8 years. So in any which way courts will look at 498a compliants with scant disregard given that you are married for 8 years and with a baby of 4 years age.
So you can file a case of restitution of conjugal rights in indian courts asking your wife to join you at singapore.
