Please issue a legal notice to him asking to set his attitude. See for his answer/ reply notice, if he intends to continue the marriage, then he will surely tune himself and change his attitude towards you..If not, then you put the matter before elders...Even if that does not resolve your problem...then approach court for proper remedy...

You can file a divorce petition under the ground of cruelty against your husband as public shamming your character based on an affair you had before marriage amounts to cruelty and apart from this, you also have to mention some other incidents of cruelty by your husband and his cruel behavior towards you after the marriage. You can file a Divorce Petition against your Husband on the same grounds and you will get Divorce by suspecting your character and mental torture for past affair in public.
But It will take some time in our courts, do you have any evidence against your husband. and kindly provide me some details.

are you filed 498a IPC case against your husband or not , you have a right to file criminal case against your husband under other penal laws also, first lodge a complaint before police station ,if case is not registered you have to approach S.P. than police reg.case cont you advocate discuss to file case directly before court.
