14-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Dear Sir/ Madam, Need your advice, Short co-stay in India post wedding then husband went to US n did not come back , nor wants me to stay with him any more. No reason for separation. I suspect extra marital affair but no proof. After 4 years I’d separation I filed divorce case but he is not willing to give divorce either. His lawyers are prolonging process just to harass and not to let me move on. I am already in late 30s no kids. I need no money / alimony just my life back. Losing time

in that case you need to discuss with his lawyer what he wants. if he is not willing to stay then you can go for mutual divorce. why to prolong. you are not asking for alimony also. if he wants to withdrawn allegation you can do that also.

Dear Madam,

You may approach High Court for earlier disposal of your case preferable within next four months. Thus, the High Court can give such direction to the Family Court to dispose your case within time bound so that you can get free from marital obligations and divorce and thus you can start new life.

have you asked for maintenance from your husband during the period of separation ? you can also ask for compensation for dessertion and long separation. let your advocate ask for early dates each time.
