I am contesting the case filed by my husband for divorce and it's already been 2 years. My first question is how long will the case go on as its taking too long for the proceedings. My second question is I want to file DVC against my husband and in-laws but my lawyer says if we take any further step like that my husband will be still more adamant and it will spoil the case. How far is it true to what extent? Please respond.

hi
need to know whether reconciliation / mediation stage is complete in the ongoing divorce proceedings. if the mediation report states that reconciliation has failed, then the judge may proceed with recording of evidence. of parties. if the case has reached evidence stage, your case will be over in 12 months from now.
DVC is different from divorce. you should file DVC if you have sufficient grounds for cruelty etc. it appears that you have not filed any counter cases against your husband and this may go against you in divorce case
