You can file both criminal case u/s. 500 of IPC as well as civil case claiming damages. Regarding proof, that we can discuss on call, that how to prove it. Further you don't need to prove that you are not bad.

If your relative have spoken something bad things about you then he/she is liable to be prosecuted under defamation. But there’s need of at least some human evidence that can show that he/she had actually spoken or circulated bad things about you. For any other legal assistance I am just a call away.

Without any substantial proof, it’s futile to file any case. However the same can be better understood after the discussion of the entire case. For detailed discussion please feel free to contact Thanks

Hello sir/ma’am It’s not necessary that every person wanting to initiate a legal proceeding has proof or direct evidence of whatever he wants to say. Court deduces the same from the facts and circumstances of the case which we call circumstantial evidence. This is what I can tell you at this particular stage. The more i am clear about your case, the more I can advise. So please try meeting me in person.
