Court Decree order and marriage dissolution certificate

10-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My mutual divorce case hearing was on 19/02/208. Judge had given the order for dissolving the marriage on the same date. We had a common Lawyer and was chosen by my ex-wife. Initially, the lawyer asked me to pay 60k and 60k will be borne by ex-wife for the mutual consent divorce marriage. But made him clear that I will be paying the half of it which is 30k as the mutual divorce would cost not more than 30k. I had paid him 70% of the feed before the divorce. Now the court hearing is done and the lawyer is asking me to pay him additional fees saying he has to take the court official to my native ( hassan ) and get the marriage certificate dissolved and this requires him some more money. I'm pretty sure that he is trying to extract more money from me and I don't want that to happen. Is there a way where I can get the court orders and the marriage dissolution certificate from the court?

If you had agreed on a fee before the lawyer took your case it is only ethical that you pay him his due. There is no fixed price for a mutual consent divorce and it varies. However if you have paid the fee you agreed upon and the lawyer is charging you again it is only right for you to refrain from paying.
Yes you could get your order from the court.

Go to the Court and buy one "Copy Application" from the photocopier. Find out your case name, fill up this form writing that you want the final Judgement and Decree and submit it along with the copying fee of about ₹100 and submit the application. You'll need to followup on your own, but if your case is indeed finalized, you should be able to receive a copy within 2 - 4 weeks. I recommend applying for multiple copies. You don't need to give this to Judgement to any authority unless you feel your wife might misrepresent that she's still married.. in that case you need to submit this document to the authority which registered your marriage.

Hi...Sir, you can try to get the copy from your lawyer and if he is not ready to give the copy you file affidavit before the court by stating all these things and and after that you apply copy your self.
Thank you
