Should I disclose about my acquittal in a criminal case in the past?

27-Dec-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I got appointment letter after clear the exam of central police force. There is questionnaire form with the joining letter in which the department asked multiple questions regarding police cases , pending cases ,f.i.r etc There Is one question in it that bothers me , "was any f.i.r ever lodged against you in the past? " Regarding this question , there was one f.i.r Lodged against me in 2013 (dhara 147,341,294 506B) . So the case was disposed only in one hearing with the verdict of "acquittal in term of compromise" .. Then should I mention that there was case against me in past or suppress the fact? And if I mention about this case then will I be allowed to join ?

You should at the very outset disclose the above said fact stating the disposal of the case as acquitted.
On the contrary, if by any chance you opt for suppressing the same, you will make yourself liable for a crime.
As far as job joining is concerned, that is upon the sole discretion of the employer.

Yes you disclose all the details regarding the case and your Acquittal status cause only acquittal is defined in Criminal Law no Honorable Acquittal is defined more so high court do interfere in such cases disclose and meanwhile extract complete certified copy of the said disposed case if you are not in possession
