Need send lawyer notice for blackmailing for repayment of money

30-Jul-2025 (In Criminal Law)
We had mutual agreement for long term investment and short term investment. Still other party cancelled the agreement. I returned the whole amount except 45,000. Which is charged for IT returns filled by me. Now they are still threatening me to pay remaining amount.

Since you refunded the entire amount except the justified IT return charges. Their Threats amount to criminal intimidation under IPC. You should preserve all evidence and file a police complaint if the threats continue. Also, send them a legal notice through a lawyer clearly stating that the amount withheld is legitimate professional charges and any further harassment will invite legal action from your side. If needed, consulting a lawyer to initiate appropriate action for your protection .

this news to be informed by a proper legal notice to the person who never is involved. there are no presumptions that the amount which is due will be mutually understood by other party or can be kept open without any explanation. it is always a correct method is to inform the other party of the cost interest and other charges if we have incurred I have to be informed for a closuer of any contract

You are legally protected for the ₹45,000 legitimately spent. Any threat beyond that has no legal standing. For further legal assistance, drafting a strong legal notice and representing you if needed, you may call me. I can draft the legal notice for you that clearly explains your position and prevents harassment. Do you want me to do that?

Since you already refunded the investment except the genuine IT return charges, the other party has no legal right to harass or threaten you. Any such threats can amount to criminal intimidation under IPC. You may issue a strong legal notice to stop further harassment and protect your rights. If required, you can also lodge a police complaint. As a lawyer I can assist in drafting and sending the notice in proper legal language to safeguard you.
