I was physically abused by my boyfriend

I was physically abused by my boyfriend because I confronted him about him cheating on me for last one year. I’m pregnant and when I said I don’t want to abort , he is threatening me to contact my family. He slapped me and threw me on the ground because of which there are bruises on both my knees. He has done this to another girl in the past too and I don’t want to let this go. nI don’t know how the law works or whom to reach out to without getting my family involved.

you can lodge and criminal complaint against the person that the false promise of marriage that he had have physical intercourse with you and if you prove it some evidence then he would be definitely arrested and send to prison and if that person make some compromise then he will offer to marry you legally these are the only two remedies available to you one is to married that person or to penalise that person before going to police station get and help of an advocate in drafting and complaint and how to proceed legally

dear Madam, do lodge a police complaint , if the police doesn't take action, lodge a private complaint before judicial magistrate. if the police does not register FIR, file a petition before high court.

I can help you with the case. We have to file a petition in the magistrate court under section 156(3) of the criminal procedure code for getting directions from the magistrate court to register first information report against your boyfriend. Secondly we have to file a civil suit for damages and compensation against your boyfriend.
