An FIR was registered U/S 468,471 against my brothers wife & her son and pending investigation for more than 6 years(money played) and a petition given to State Legal Service Authority. Mean time opp.party wanted to settle amicably,hence an agreement was signed before the SLSA's ret.judge. So, I withdrew both the said cases for a paltry initial amount. Now, more than 24 months passed, neither the remaining consideration is settled nor any conclusive reply when called. Interestingly, the agreement does not mentions the time limit to be settled. I belong to SLSA's District while the opp.party to Tiruvallur District. My query, Can I file a fresh police complaint for not paying the dues(Cheating & Dishonesty)in my jurisdiction limit or approach the Tiruvallur District to reopen the closed case(FIR) or any suggestions from you people. Please explain in detail.
I suggest you to its not possible to file a fresh police complaint in your jurisdictional police station. but after some court proceedings we will try to reopen the closed case. in any filing contact me directly.
