False ugly rumor damaging my reputation

A person is spreading fake news about me that I’ve eloped ran away with a boy and have done Court marriage. It’s taking a huge toll on my mental health and this person is not stopping.

Hello Maam, as the very brief fax stated by you if it’s demeaning and defaming you in the society and it’s not correct, immediately file is complaint and while keys against him for the fences of defamation rest for further and more details and his issue, please feel free to call us as you stated very limited fax in the question and we can discuss at length your issue. This amounts to defamation and mental harassment which can be dealt by filing criminal complaint against that person and a suit for defamation along with compensation. The person responsible for the same shall be prosecuted under BNS

You can File Defamation case against Him ! it can be filed directly in court! Clear Case of Defamation under Section 356 BNS, 2023 (I.P.C.). One of the main ingredient of Defamation case is that such news should be fake and that news is circulated amongst the people by any means.

You can send a legal notice to him/her. If he/she not stopping to defame you then you can file a complaint against the alleged persons of defamation under section 356 of bns which says that Whoever defames another shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both or with community service.
