Laptop seller not replacing faulty laptop

15-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I purchase a laptop which is a metallic body after purchase it gives an electric shock. When i told them they tell that there is earthing issue with your power circuit. I told them earthing is our choice for safety in abnormal conditions but it is not compulsory but your laptop must work perfectly in normal conditions. But they don't listen to me and reject my DOA complaint for replacement. What should I do?

Hello Dear!

You should file a complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer protection Act, 1986 against the dealer as well as the company!
The major grounds under the complaint shall be lack of services on the part of company as well as dealer and unfair trade practices!

Your this contention that "earthing is your choice" is wrong. Your electric circuit must provide earthing. Get you laptop checked by a qualified technician, if it gives shock even after providing earthing then you may file a complaint against the seller/company before the District Consumer Forum.
