Builder charging high cancellation cost for agreement what can i do

I wanted to cancel agreement entered with a builder because of flaws in his work. He is demanding huge compensation for cancellation. The agreement is entered on white paper which is printed with materials to be used in construction. This agreement is neither entered on stamp paper nor it is notarised. But I have signed on agreement. Is that agreement a valid document. Can he sue me in the court of Law with such document?
you can give notice for cancellation for work eliciting his laches in works and for not maintaining standards and seek damages from the builder you are at liberty to cancel his contract for poor quality

This agreement is valid after paying the stamp duty with penalty charges. But, can send legal notice to him mentioning flaws in his work to continue agreement terms and conditions. Before he taking action , you should react.

Even if the agreement is on plain while paper it is valid but you said he is demanding huge compensation for cancellation is that included as part of agreement between you both, check the terms of your agreement and consult a lawyer with documents, to get proper advice.

Yes the builder can sue for cancelling the agreement, in case if you want to cancel the agreement, issues a legal notice within the agreement period to the builder about the same and recover the advance amount paid
