what is the punishment for cheque bounce case. And what is the punishment for multiple cheques bouncing, whether it is one single punishment for consolidated punishment. please assist.
The punishment for cheque bounce in a single case. even if multiple cheques bounce or single cheque , is one single punishment and of maximum 2 years. It need not be 2 years, it may be even less, left to teh discetion of the judge.

If all the cheques are meant towards a single legally enforceable debt by the same person,then may be treated as a single offence. It all depends on the nature of complaint. Cheque bounce case attracts very serious punishment including one year imprisonment as well as fine to the tune of double the cheque amount.
