We had issued cheques and have got bounced

Hello sir We are a supplier of Onion from Nashik Maharashtra and One of the parties in Mysore gave us advance of 5.75lakh for Purchase of Onion however they did not turned up for loading for several months and then in last December 2018 they came to take refund however that time we did not have money to refund. Forcefully they have taken check of 3 Lakh and another check of 4.5Lakhs and those checks were bounced. However we have refunded 3 Lakh by IMPS mode to the same account. Now we are liable to pay only 2.75Lakh however they have filed a Criminal case of under Karnataka Police Act 92(O)(R)KP,act and the status now shows disposed and shows Uncontested--SETTLED IN LOK ADALATH We want to know the best outcome on this as we are ready to out of court settlement and pay the pending 2.75 Lakhs We have received only one copy of notice and the hearing date of same day when we have received the copy and that is too in the Kannada language which we dont understand. Please help me with this
