Wants to know the legal formalities to represent my own case in court

11-Nov-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
I am the complainant & the stage is cross examination of the accused. Since it is already 7 years old, it may not be possible to discuss each & every point with a lawyer in a short time. Since I was a close friend of the accused for 20 years, I hope to cross effectively. So, I want to conduct myself but the judge demands an application towards this. I need the format & the section No. of Cr.PC. that covers this. Or an ordinary application is suffice?

There is no format for representing your case by yourself. You should ask your advocate to file a retirement memo in Court from your case, and immediately thereafter you can file a letter title MEMO to court ( in green sheet) stating that you intend to represent yourself. from that moment you can act as party in person.

You have to seek permission from the judge to appear for party in person and mention the same through I.A. and affidavit and submit before the court. Meanwhile what about your friend's advocate who was attending your friend's case did he give No Objection Certificate you check with the advocate who is handling your case. As you are intending to do the job of lawyer please open the book and read. All the best
