Dear sir,
1) send him a written notice (preferably through a lawyer) informing him that his cheque has been rejected and demand the disputed amount from him. Written notice has to be addressed to his residence.
2) wait for 15 days in order to receive the amount. If you receive no amount from him then proceed to hire a lawyer. File a complaint before appropriate magistrate with regard to this offence.
3) if the offender is held guilty, the magistrate will order him to pay you an amount up to twice the amount in question.

Send them a notice to inform about such dishonour and provide him a time limit of 14 days to pay that amount. In case, you are still kept deprieve to receive then lodge complain in police station or in before magistrate.
