Procedure in case complaint has been filed for cheque bounce.

Hi Sir, Some one has filed as NI case against me with out any notice and i am not sure who it is as i stay away form my hometown where the case as been filed. Wanted to know if NI case is specific to Cheque bounce or even money lendings.

Hello ,
Serving Notice is mandatory before filing NI case . Since u stay away from your home town , you need to check wheather notice has been issued to ur address .But if the notice is not claimed due to ur absence , then the case can be filed. NI act is applicable wherever cheque is issued for discharge of loan liability

N I case is cheque bounce case you might have given cheque to some one and that is bounced hence they would have filed the case against you so you would have received summons , you have not mentioned how do you know about the case

N I Act case will be filled, if cheque is bounced and notice will be issued to last known address, in your case notice may be issued to your home address, so you don't know about notice as you now staying away from your native
