Payee gave me a cheque but there was insufficient funds in his account

Cheque has been bounced and bank gave me a memo , what if I go for filing a case , would I be getting the money, or money plus compensation and how long would it take?

according to my advice I will suggest you to firstly send a legal notice ok and after sending legal don't wait for 15 days and if there between get any reply from the other side you can file case before the appropriate Court regarding the cheque Bounce and you can claim the money apart from that the money mentioned in the chat you can also same the compensation the legal expenses you have beard for this and the time it will take is around 6 months to 1 year

you can file a bouncing check case against him but firstly you will have to send legal notice and if the amount is not returned within 15 days you may go ahead 10 file and file case against him

you can contact a lawyer as soon as possible. bcoz you need to send a legal notice to cheque issuer within 30 day of cheque bouncing. after passing of 15 days you can file a complaint suit in the court. court will call that party and ask for not giving the payment.
