14-Nov-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
My customer given a post dated cheque for Rs.50,000/- dt.23/08/18 towards travel services. On 23/08/18 i intimated to the customer that today I'm depositing the cheque in my bank. Then he said that don't present the cheque in your bank wait for 2 days i will give cash. From August to till date he was telling wait for 2 days i will clear your payment. Last one week he was not attending to my calls. So, on 13th Nov, 18. I presented the cheque in my bank and to today the cheque was bounced and the validity of my cheque is upto 23/11/18 only. I request you to kindly help me out with this issue.

hi
since the customer cheque has been returned on 13 Nov, you should issue legal notice under section 138 of negotiable instruments act on or before 28 Nov and in case your customer does not pay you before 15 Dec, you should file a cheque bounce case under sec 138 and 142 of Negotiable instruments act on or before 28 Dec.
