Cheque bouncing case filed against you at which court?
What was the cheque amount??
Have you got the summon??

Without knowing the facts of the case it will be very difficult to advise.

Sir first and foremost without knowing the full details of the case we cannot give you any suggestions.
Did you give reply to the legal notice which he sent to you. Second you have to prove that the amount he has filled is not the amount payable by you. There is a presumption clause by which u have to prove that the cheque in question is given by u for some other purpose

Kindly consult a lawyer with your notice served or summons copy and provide the facts of the case.

If case is filed you have to contest the matter by engaging a lawyer and have to be present every hearing or warrant will be issued against you to produce you before the magistrate.

Why did you issue the cheque? Was the cheque issued towards the discharge of a lawful debt or for any consideration received by you? Do you really have to pay the amount? has the person misused an old cheque? There are several good defences to your case. You will have to explain everything. Did you send any reply to the notice received by you? You can contact me for a detailed discussion so that I can give a clear and proper guidance.
